The Beginning

This is the beginning of a very important journey for me.  I have finally decided that I have had ENOUGH.  Do you know what I mean?  You wake up one day, take stock of yourself, and ask, "What have I been doing/thinking?!"

I'm tired of feeling tired.  I'm tired of trying on half a dozen outfits because something either doesn't fit, or I look dumpy.  I'm tired of having my mood for the day be determined by a number on a scale.

This blog is going to be a tool for me to chronicle my health and happiness journey.

LONG TERM GOAL:  Lose 75 pounds

SHORT TERM GOAL 1:  By August 5 (my first official workday for the school year) lose 5 pounds.

PLAN:

I know that to be able to successfully reach any goal, I have to have a plan.

FOOD
I am going to:
     ~limit processed carbs and sugar
     ~load up on lots of fruits and veggies
     ~hot lemon water with breakfast
     ~drink so much water that I feel like I'm going to float away!

EXCERSIZE:
I am going to:
     ~walk on the treadmill 3 times a week for 30 minutes
     ~ride on the stationary bike 3 times a week for 30 minutes

I think that this will be a good start.  I will check back in tomorrow to blog about how it's going.

One more thing.  To make this official, I am going to share my starting weight.  Deep breath.  Shh. Don't tell.  You are sworn to secrecy.  My starting weight is 215.3.  There.  I did it and the world now knows.
